All moms work. No matter how you do it, you are a good mom. In my experience, being a working mom often adds an extra layer of emotional struggle when deciding to work outside the home full time. No part of motherhood is easy, but the mom guilt and emotional heaviness of working full time while mothering is easily the hardest part for me. There are many pros to being a working mom, and many days everything runs smoothly. But there are also a lot of days where the pull to be with my kiddos is strong, and I need a little extra support in remembering why I choose to be a working mom. On my weak days, on my bad days, and on the days where my mama heart feels extra heavy, I use affirmations to bring me back to focus. These positive affirmations for working moms give me the clarity and encouragement to keep moving forward, and finding joy in the everyday.
Why Positive Affirmations For Working Moms
Positive affirmations may seem trivial, but they can be extremely powerful in the right situation. Affirmations are powerful tools for athletes when preparing for a competition, or for business women preparing for a big meeting. Affirmations that you use consistently are similar to the concept of developing muscle memory. Your mind begins to shift to the affirmation statements to bring you success without your awareness that is is happening. Being consistent with your positive affirmations rids your mind of negative thoughts or limiting beliefs you have created about yourself. For me as a working mom, positive affirmations allow me to pivot away from the never ending mom guilt. When I feel the mom guilt coming on strongly, these positive affirmations for working moms can help me to steer in a better direction.
You can find tons of examples of positive affirmations to apply to your life, but the best way to use affirmations is to write them yourself so that they are individualized and specific to your goals. You need to write down your affirmations and ensure they are visible or accessible. They will become rote in your mind over time, but it is helpful to have a visual reminder to use them with things get tough. The key to writing strong affirmations is to make them direct, and specific to your goals. Your mind will begin looking for solutions to any challenges in the path to those goals as you continue practicing.
