Oh baby! If you have a new bundle of joy in your life this year, you know the excitement that is added to the holidays with a new baby. As a third time mom with a newborn, each holiday season gets even more magical than the last. Our house is filled with kisses, wishes, and whole lot of hot cocoa. While you most like prepared thoroughly for baby to arrive this year, there are some fantastic gift idea for baby on his or her first Christmas that make everything just a bit sweeter. With this being our third baby in the house, hand me downs are in full swing. But I like to snag a few high quality items for baby’s first holiday to add some extra magic. Check out these gift ideas for baby that will knock your stockings off!

Crib Sheets
I absolutely love cozy, fresh crib sheets in a baby nursery. There are tons of options from fun prints to organic cotton, and if you have baby you know that crib sheet changes are a frequent occurrence! I am obsessed with Rookie Humans sheets and all the fun designs they have. These sheets are super soft cotton and make for the best photos of your little one. I ordered the Enchanted Meadow sheets because of our little bear themed nursery, but it was so hard to choose! These would make for an excellent baby gift for Christmas or a new baby.
Baby Sleep Gear
Along with new crib sheets, you can use the holidays to pick up some baby sleep gear to make for a great transition to sleeping soundly. Our babies have all loved the Dreamegg sound machine for blocking out noise and providing comfort throughout the night. We also could not do without the Nested Bean sleep sack in our household. All of our babies have used these sleep sacks for sleep training and wear them every single night until toddlerhood. The slight weight and comfort makes for an incredible night’s sleep. I have never personally tried the Ollie swaddle, but I know several moms in my life that swear by the Ollie for calming fussy babies. Stock up on items on your tree that will give you more rest in the new year.
Baby Bath Items
Along with crib sheets, bath items are always needed for baby! I always stock up on our 
favorite bath soaps as stocking stuffers for every kid. We use Babo Botanicals sensitive skin and bubble bath because of the clean ingredients and how well it does for my baby’s skin. We also love Tubby Todd and their line of soaps and lotions. I am very conscious of the safety of what we put on our kiddos, and these are some of the best!
Bath toys are also always a hit for stocking stuffers! We stay away from any squirt toys or ducks that can collect mold and opt for bath crayons and plastic toys. Our baby’s stocking will have some new bath time favorites for the year ahead like these bath building pipes and water falls toys.
This year, we also needed a refresh on baby towels for bath time since ours have signs of
extensive wear. I love bamboo towels and clothes for my little one, so I opted for this bamboo hooded towel for baby to use for bath time. It is so soft, and big enough to grow with her throughout the year.
I am obsessed with the material and I love that it is so absorbent.
Organic Outfits and Toys
I am the biggest sentimental mom when it comes to baby clothes and I always struggle when packing away a baby clothes size that no longer fits! We have tons of hand me down play clothes, but I love making sure each baby has a few special outfits that are just for them. One of my favorite shops for organic cotton high quality clothing is Finn + Emma. Their basics collections are perfect for gender neutral styling and some of my favorite little girl rompers are from this shop! They also have hand made baby toys like this beautiful macrame swing and it is at the top of my list for my little one! This year I stocked up on some basics for baby as well as their holiday gift sets which come with outfits and toys combined. This shop has incredible gift ideas for baby that are incredibly high quality and useful at the same time.
Eating Gear
I am a big fan of baby led weaning when introducing my baby to solids. The EZPZ placemat for baby is perfect for a gift that is practical and can be used all year. The placement has smiley face compartments and makes for easy feeding and cleanup. I also got these reusable food pouches so that I can make my own baby food pouches at home. These will be perfect for purees for baby as well as yogurt or applesauce snacks for my toddlers.
Baby Wearing Gear
Baby wearing is a favorite pastime in our house! We would not make it through everyday 
smoothly without multiple options for baby wearing. A great gift idea for baby is new baby wearing gear that you can use together. I own a Lillebaby all seasons and Tula for structured carriers, and several Wildbird slings for ring slings. We rotate between all of our carriers and slings for whatever is most comfortable that day and I love breaking in new baby wearing options! If you are looking for something more structured for longer or tougher carries, I recommend the Lillebaby. The back support is unmatched, and it is super breathable even though it provides full coverage. If you have a newborn or are looking something more flexible and cozy, the Wildbird ring slings are an excellent choice! The learning curve is minor, and they become such a sentimental part of baby’s first year.
Keepsake Items
As a major sentimental mama, I love anything that involves keepsakes and documenting memories with my kiddos. For baby’s first holiday, there are tons of sentimental gift ideas for baby that are great for baby and for you! You could gift a baby book or journal for saving photos and jotting down priceless moments. You could also get a milestone blanket for monthly photos or a new high quality camera for years of at home photos.
